Copper's Google Workspace dependency: a hidden cost and constraint
Copper requires every user to have a Google Workspace account to access its core features. For teams already on Google Workspace, this is a non-issue — but for mixed-email-provider teams, some on Microsoft 365, some on Gmail, some on personal email, Copper creates a forced platform migration before the CRM is even live. The Google Workspace cost adds $6/user/month at minimum, representing a 26–260% addition to the total per-user CRM cost depending on which Copper tier you're on. HelloGrowthCRM works with any email provider or no email integration at all. For many Indian and Southeast Asian sales teams, the CRM's primary communication channel is WhatsApp, not email — making Gmail sidebar integration largely irrelevant while the Google Workspace licence requirement adds pure cost with no functional return.
