| What you are buying | Houzz Pro (checked 2026-10-29) | HelloGrowthCRM | Why it matters |
|---|
| Price for one user | Pro: $199/month, annual plan | $12/month, Included in Growth | A solo designer pays for the tools they use, not a bundle |
| Price for five users | Teams: $399/month | $60/month | The gap grows as the studio hires |
| Each extra user | $50/month (Pro and Teams) | $12/month | Adding a junior designer or site lead stays cheap |
| 3D floor plans and renders | Yes | No | Keep a design tool if you draw in 3D every week |
| Takeoffs from plans | Yes | No | Estimators who measure from plans should keep Houzz Pro or a takeoff tool |
| Selections and mood boards | Yes, with product clipper | No boards; a Concept & Moodboard project stage | Client-facing boards stay in your design tool |
| Houzz marketplace leads | Yes; advertising from $499/month | Forward Houzz emails; connector coming soon | If Houzz is your main lead source, weigh this first |
| Calling and AI voice | Verified Caller and Front Desk (both beta, Teams) | Dialer with recording, AI voice calling, SMS, WhatsApp | First-call speed decides who wins the consultation |
| Interior project records | Schedules, daily logs, time and expenses | Drawings with revisions, BOQ, procurement, site work orders, client approvals | Different strengths: logs and costing vs drawings, BOQ and approvals |
| Quotes, invoices and approvals | Estimates, proposals, e-signature, invoices, online payments | Quotes, proposals, invoices, online quote acceptance | Both cover quote-to-invoice; check payment methods you need |
Pricing math by team size
Houzz Pro prices are list prices from its pricing page, checked 2026-10-29: Pro covers one user, Teams covers five, and both add users at $50 a month each. Add-ons and advertising (from $499 a month) are extra. Enterprise is quoted by Houzz sales. HelloGrowthCRM is $12 per user per month, Included in Growth.
| Users | Houzz Pro plan | Houzz Pro per month | HelloGrowthCRM per month | Per year, Houzz Pro vs HelloGrowthCRM |
|---|
| 1 | Pro | $199 | $12 | $2,388 vs $144 |
| 5 | Teams | $399 | $60 | $4,788 vs $720 |
| 10 | Teams + 5 extra users | $649 | $120 | $7,788 vs $1,440 |
The saving is real only if you do not need Houzz Pro's design tools. If you would replace them with a separate 3D or takeoff subscription, add that cost to the HelloGrowthCRM column before deciding.
Where Houzz Pro is stronger
- 3D floor plans and renders. Houzz Pro includes a 3D floor planner, 2D-to-3D product conversion, photorealistic renders and mobile room scanning. HelloGrowthCRM has none of these.
- Takeoffs. Houzz Pro measures quantities from plans into estimates. HelloGrowthCRM has BOQ lines you enter, not takeoffs.
- Selections and mood boards. Houzz Pro has a product clipper, selections and mood boards shared with clients. HelloGrowthCRM does not.
- The Houzz marketplace. A Houzz profile and advertising packages put you in front of Houzz's homeowner audience. HelloGrowthCRM has no marketplace, and its Houzz connector is coming soon.
- Construction accounting. Change orders, daily logs, time and expense tracking and job costing are part of Houzz Pro. HelloGrowthCRM does not offer change orders, daily logs or job costing.
What HelloGrowthCRM adds for a design studio
Follow-up on every channel from one record
HelloGrowthCRM is a full AI CRM suite. An enquiry becomes a lead with an owner, and the next touch can be a recorded call from the built-in dialer, an AI voice call, a text, a WhatsApp message or an email sequence that keeps chasing a proposal after the site visit. Booking pages let a homeowner pick a consultation slot that syncs to your Google or Outlook calendar. AI lead scoring ranks the queue so the studio calls the clients most likely to sign first.
The Architecture & Interior Design workspace
Choose Architecture & Interior Design at sign-up, or have an admin switch it on in Settings, and the CRM gains a project workspace: Requirements, Projects, Drawings, BOQ, Procurement, Site Execution, Team / Designers / Contractors, Client Approvals, Billing & Payments, Documents & Contracts and Reports. Drawings are kept with versions and revisions, and a client approval records the exact revision that was signed off. BOQ and procurement lines are priced in your workspace currency with the vendor on each order. Site Execution tracks work orders through stages with due dates, and Billing & Payments shows every invoice raised against a project in the currency it was billed in. Staged fee-milestone invoicing from an accepted quote is switched on by our team on request. Some fee tools, such as the architect fee calculator, follow Indian conventions, so US studios will mostly use the project, drawing, BOQ and approval screens.
For the full studio workflow, see the CRM for interior designers guide and the interior design CRM for US studios. Contractors and remodelers can start from the contractor CRM page.
Switch in four steps
- Export clients, leads and open projects from Houzz Pro as a spreadsheet and import them into HelloGrowthCRM.
- Rebuild your stages (enquiry, consultation, proposal, signed, in design, procurement, installed) and switch on the Architecture & Interior Design workspace if you want project records.
- Connect email, calendar and your business number, and forward Houzz enquiry emails to your HelloGrowthCRM inbound address.
- Run both systems for a week. Cancel nothing on Houzz until every new enquiry is landing and being followed up in HelloGrowthCRM.
Common objections
- Our data. You can import from a spreadsheet and export your records at any time.
- Our Houzz contract. Houzz Pro plans are annual subscriptions, so time the switch to your renewal date and keep the profile if Houzz still sends you leads.
- Support hours. Book a demo to confirm support coverage for your time zone before you move a live pipeline.
- Learning curve. Start with the pipeline and follow-up, and add the project workspace once the team is comfortable.
Verdict
Choose Houzz Pro if design tools and the Houzz marketplace are central to how you win and deliver work. Choose HelloGrowthCRM if you mainly need a CRM that answers every enquiry fast, keeps proposals moving and holds drawings, BOQs, procurement and approvals against the project, at $12 per user per month instead of a $199 or $399 plan.
