What you'll need
- •Active Gmail, Workspace, Microsoft 365, or Outlook.com account (or IMAP)
- •IT admin permission if your org enforces OAuth review
- •About 4 minutes
- •Recommended: SPF/DKIM-aligned sending domain

Go to Settings → Inbox
Click your avatar → Settings → Inbox. You'll see No inbox connected if first time.

Pick your provider
Connect Gmail, Microsoft 365, or Outlook.com. For other providers click Other (IMAP/SMTP).

Authorize via OAuth
Google/Microsoft asks for permissions. We use minimum necessary scopes — see /legal/oauth-scopes.

Choose what to sync
Two-way (recommended) syncs in and out. One-way = inbound only. Choose folders/labels — Inbox + Sent typical.

Set your sending alias
From-name + Reply-to your reps send under. Default = your full name + connected email.

Test the connection
Click Send test email. Within 30s you should receive Inbox connected! confirmation.

Verify auto-logging works
Send to a known lead from Gmail/Outlook. Within 60s it shows on lead timeline as Email sent event.
Frequently asked questions
Does HelloGrowthCRM read all my emails?▾
We sync only emails matching CRM contacts, or all emails if you enable auto-create. Personal emails to addresses not in your CRM are never logged.
Can multiple users connect their own inboxes?▾
Yes — every user connects their own. Shared mailboxes connect once via HelloMail.
Will emails I send from outside HelloGrowthCRM still log?▾
Yes, with two-way sync enabled. Anything from Gmail/Outlook/phone shows up on the lead timeline within 60 seconds.
Does this break my email signature?▾
No. We respect the signature configured in Gmail/Outlook. Override per-CRM in Settings → Inbox → Signature.
Can I disconnect later?▾
Yes — Settings → Inbox → Disconnect. Your historical synced emails stay in the CRM.
