LionDesk Is Gone: How to Get Your Data Out Safely

Your CRM was retired. This page is about saving your database first, and choosing a replacement second.

Quick answer

Should you switch from LionDesk to HelloGrowthCRM?

LionDesk is gone, so the only wrong move is doing nothing while your database sits in someone else's archive. Rescue the data first. If listings and IDX drive your business, look hard at Follow Up Boss, Wise Agent or Lofty. If follow-up speed is the real gap, HelloGrowthCRM is a cheap and honest fit.
  • Save the data first, choose the tool second
  • No MLS, no IDX, no home-search site
  • Look at real estate CRMs too

Why teams switch from LionDesk

Four reasons sales teams choose HelloGrowthCRM over LionDesk.

Save the data first, choose the tool second

LionDesk stopped running in September 2025. Before you compare replacements, make sure you actually hold a copy of your contacts, notes, tasks and campaign history somewhere you control.

No MLS, no IDX, no home-search site

HelloGrowthCRM has no MLS or IDX integration and does not host a property search website. If listing feeds drive your business, treat that as a firm dealbreaker.

Look at real estate CRMs too

Follow Up Boss, Wise Agent and Lofty are built for agents and handle listing and transaction workflows we do not. Shortlist them next to us and compare honestly.

Where we do fit: follow-up volume

If your real problem is calling leads back fast, HelloGrowthCRM gives you a dialer with recording, AI call summaries, WhatsApp and email sequences at twelve dollars monthly.

How to migrate from LionDesk in 3 steps

  1. 1

Check what access you still have. Service ran through September 2025, so assume the self-serve export screens are gone. Email Lone Wolf support, ask in writing for an archive of your account data, and keep the ticket number.

  2. 2

Pull together every copy you already hold. Old CSV exports, email marketing lists, your phone's contact list, past transaction files, and any spreadsheet a team member kept on the side. Merge them into one file with a source column.

  3. 3

Clean the file before you import it anywhere. Deduplicate on email and phone, write phone numbers in full international format, and drop anyone you have no legal basis to contact. Protect the notes column: that history cannot be rebuilt.

  4. 4

Import into a free HelloGrowthCRM account and test with a hundred records first. Check field mapping, owners and tags, then load the rest and rebuild your follow-up sequences. Setup itself takes about fifteen minutes.

Getting out of LionDesk without losing your book of business

In May 2025, Lone Wolf Technologies told LionDesk customers the product was being wound down. Coverage in Inman and HousingWire reported the platform would keep running through September 2025, with users pointed toward Lone Wolf Relationships, a newer CRM from the same company. The stated reason was blunt enough to be believable: LionDesk could not scale to fit the longer-term product plan. For a lot of solo agents this was the first CRM they ever paid for, and it held years of notes, drip campaigns and call history. If you are reading this after the fact, treat the shutdown as done and the timeline as closed. What matters now is not whether the decision was fair. It is whether you still have a usable copy of your own database.

Start with an inventory rather than a shortlist. Write down every place your contact history currently lives: any CSV export you downloaded while the account was live, the mailing list inside your email marketing tool, the contacts on your phone, closed transaction files, and the spreadsheet your assistant kept because the CRM was awkward. Most agents find a good share of the data is already in hand, just scattered across four places. Then contact Lone Wolf support in writing and ask specifically what account archive they can still provide. Do this before you evaluate software. A CRM decision made while your data is still stranded tends to be made badly, and the migration has to be redone once the archive finally turns up in your inbox.

Be clear-eyed about what a general CRM cannot give back to you. HelloGrowthCRM has no MLS integration, no IDX feed and no home-search website. It will not sync listings, send property alerts, or run transaction paperwork. LionDesk's video email and video texting are not replicated either. If those were the reasons you paid for LionDesk, then a general sales CRM is a downgrade dressed up as a saving, and you should stop reading marketing pages, including this one. The useful question is narrower: over the last six months, did you lose more deals because of missing listing tools, or because a lead sat in your inbox for two days before anyone called it? Those two answers point at different products.

For agents who need real estate specifics, the obvious names are worth the trial time. Follow Up Boss is the default for teams and lists at sixty-nine dollars a month for one user, with additional seats priced on top. Wise Agent is the value option at roughly forty-nine dollars a month, and includes several team members in the base plan. Lofty bundles an IDX website, CRM and marketing automation but quotes privately instead of publishing prices, so expect a sales call. Lone Wolf Relationships is the in-house migration path, and the company said pricing would sit near LionDesk's old starting point of about twenty-five dollars a month. Trial two, not five, and give each one a fortnight of real use.

HelloGrowthCRM fits a narrower case: agents whose problem is follow-up throughput. The built-in auto-dialer records calls and produces AI summaries, so you are not typing notes after every conversation. Two-way WhatsApp, SMS and email sequences keep older leads warm without manual chasing. AI lead scoring pushes the likely buyers up the list. Pricing is twelve dollars per user per month billed monthly, ten dollars annually, and there is a free forever plan you can load a test import into today. Setup takes about fifteen minutes. If that covers your gap and you already have listing tools elsewhere, it is a cheap and honest answer. If it does not, we would rather you pick one of the real estate platforms above and get on with your year.

Verdict

LionDesk is gone, so the only wrong move is doing nothing while your database sits in someone else's archive. Rescue the data first. If listings and IDX drive your business, look hard at Follow Up Boss, Wise Agent or Lofty. If follow-up speed is the real gap, HelloGrowthCRM is a cheap and honest fit.
