Switch from Tradify to HelloGrowthCRM

Keep Tradify for job management. Add HelloGrowthCRM in front for enquiries, calls and quote chasing.

Quick answer

Should you switch from Tradify to HelloGrowthCRM?

If you schedule tradies, run timesheets and cost jobs off supplier price lists, keep Tradify. HelloGrowthCRM has none of that. But if Tradify is really your customer list and quote pad at $48 to $62 a seat, or enquiries and stale quotes are your leak, $12 per user is worth a look.
  • A quarter of the seat price
  • Enquiries get tracked before they are jobs
  • Calls recorded and summarised automatically

Why teams switch from Tradify

Four reasons sales teams choose HelloGrowthCRM over Tradify.

A quarter of the seat price

Tradify runs $48 to $62 per user per month ex GST on Lite, Pro and Plus. HelloGrowthCRM is $12 per user monthly or $10 annual, with a free forever plan underneath.

Enquiries get tracked before they are jobs

Tradify starts at the job or enquiry record. HelloGrowthCRM gives you pipeline stages, owners and next actions, so a quote sent last week cannot quietly go cold on you.

Calls recorded and summarised automatically

A dialer sits in the browser and both mobile apps. Every call records and an AI summary is written onto the contact, so nobody relies on remembering what the customer wanted.

Follow-up that does not cost per message

Tradify charges around twenty cents per SMS and has no sequences. HelloGrowthCRM includes email sequences, SMS and WhatsApp, so quote chasing runs to a schedule you set once.

How to migrate from Tradify in 3 steps

  1. 1

In Tradify, open the Customers page and use the export option described in the Tradify Help Centre article How To Export Customers. Tradify downloads a CSV you can open in Excel or Google Sheets.

  2. 2

Open the Quotes page, tick the quotes you want, then click the export icon. If you tick nothing, Tradify exports every quote in the tab you are on. The same pattern works for Jobs and Invoices.

  3. 3

Import the customer CSV into HelloGrowthCRM first, then the quotes CSV. Map quote status onto pipeline stages so anything still awaiting an answer sits in a stage with a named owner chasing it.

  4. 4

Leave forms and certificates where they are, because Tradify cannot bulk export them. Keep Tradify running for scheduling, timesheets, materials and the Xero or MYOB flow, and point new web enquiries at HelloGrowthCRM.

Why teams move from Tradify to HelloGrowthCRM

Tradify is job management software for tradies in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. Enquiries, quotes, scheduling, timesheets, supplier price lists, purchase orders, invoicing and links into Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks. It is priced per user: Lite at $48, Pro at $52 and Plus at $62 per user per month excluding GST, in both AUD and NZD, with a Custom plan on request and a fourteen-day trial. For an electrical or plumbing business with staff on the road, quoting off price lists and running labour against jobs, that is a fair deal and the accounting integration earns its keep every quarter when BAS comes around. Field staff get the job on their phone, the office sees where the work sits, and the invoice lands in Xero without anyone rekeying it.

The gap is at the front. Tradify organises around jobs and quotes. What it does not give you is a sales process. There are no pipeline stages with owners, no dialer, no call recordings, no automatic follow-up. So the missed call from a job site, the website enquiry that arrived Sunday night, and the quote you sent eleven days ago that has gone silent all live in someone's head or in a text thread. For a lot of trade businesses that is where the money actually goes. You are not losing work because the scheduler is wrong. You are losing it because nobody rang back on Tuesday and a competitor did.

HelloGrowthCRM handles that one stretch. Every enquiry becomes a lead with a stage, an owner and a next action. A dialer runs in the browser and in the iOS and Android apps, so calls go out from the record, record automatically, and come back with an AI summary written onto the contact. AI lead scoring puts the enquiries most likely to book at the top of the list. Email sequences, SMS and WhatsApp chase quotes on a timetable you set once, rather than at twenty cents a message sent by hand when someone remembers. Web forms feed the pipeline. There is a quote builder and invoicing, plus reporting dashboards showing enquiries, quotes sent and jobs won. Seats are $12 a month, or $10 on annual.

Now the honest limits, because they decide this for most readers. HelloGrowthCRM is a sales CRM, not job management software. There is no scheduling calendar and no dispatch view. There are no timesheets, no GPS, no materials or supplier price lists, no purchase orders and no job costing. It does not sync to Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks. Tradify does all of that and does it well. If you assign work to tradies on the scheduler, approve timesheets, build quotes off supplier price lists or track job profitability, do not rip Tradify out. You would trade daily operations for a pipeline you could add alongside for a fraction of one Tradify seat.

That leaves two clean choices. If you only ever used Tradify as a customer list and a quote pad, and your scheduler and timesheets are empty, move across and stop paying $48 to $62 a seat for job management you never open. If you genuinely run jobs in Tradify, keep it and put HelloGrowthCRM in front: enquiries land in the CRM, get called back fast, get quoted and get chased automatically, then accepted work is created in Tradify and flows through to your accounting package for GST and BAS. Export customers and quotes from Tradify as CSV, remembering that forms and certificates cannot be bulk exported, import them, map quote statuses to stages, and you are running in about fifteen minutes.

Verdict

If you schedule tradies, run timesheets and cost jobs off supplier price lists, keep Tradify. HelloGrowthCRM has none of that. But if Tradify is really your customer list and quote pad at $48 to $62 a seat, or enquiries and stale quotes are your leak, $12 per user is worth a look.
