A franchise lead is a budget, a city and a timeline
Everything else in the first conversation is noise
Franchise enquiries arrive in volume and almost all of them say the same thing: interested in a franchise, please send details. The three facts that determine whether the enquiry is worth an hour are how much the candidate can actually invest, where they want to operate, and when they intend to start. Add whether they already run a business and whether they have a property in hand, and you have a qualified lead in under five minutes on the phone.
Most consultancies know this and still do not capture it in a form anyone can filter on. The information exists in a call recording or a consultant's head, so the Monday call list is built on who rang most recently rather than who fits an open mandate. Making those fields part of enquiry capture is the single highest-return change a franchise consultancy can make.
