What a small Emirates firm is really asking for
A trading company in Deira, a fit-out contractor in Al Quoz and a services firm in Sharjah all describe the same problem in almost the same words. The business runs on WhatsApp, the enquiry becomes a quotation, the quotation waits for a purchase order, and somewhere in that sequence the thread goes quiet and nobody can say whether the deal is alive. The search is for something that keeps hold of that sequence without asking a five-person team to become data entry clerks.
The commercial agreement lives in a message, not a document
In this market a price is usually settled in conversation and the paperwork follows to confirm what was already decided. That makes the thread itself the commercial record, and it makes the ownership of that thread a serious question. If it sits on a personal handset, the company does not own its own history.
