Lightweight is the right answer, right up until it is not
There is a stage in a company's life where the best CRM is the one that gets out of the way. Three or four people, everyone knows every deal, and the only real requirement is somewhere to keep contacts and opportunities that is not a spreadsheet. Capsule positions itself for exactly that, and it does the job — clean records, quick adoption, nothing to learn.
What changes is not the number of people. It is the number of things happening at once. At three reps you can hold every open conversation in your head. At ten you cannot, and the difference between a good month and a bad one becomes whether anything reminded somebody to make a call. At that point a passive CRM is no longer simple — it is just incomplete, and the missing work is being done by memory.
