How courier companies sell in Egypt
The seller decides on settlement and failed deliveries, not on the headline rate
The volume worth having comes from online sellers shipping every day, from small manufacturers sending samples and stock, and from corporate accounts moving documents between offices. Sellers compare couriers on three things: the zone rate, how quickly collected cash comes back to them, and how many parcels come back undelivered. An operator who wins on rate alone and loses on the other two will not keep the account past the first month.
Enquiries arrive from inbound search when another courier has disappointed, from referrals within seller communities, from social selling groups, and from representatives calling and visiting. The relationship then moves almost entirely to WhatsApp, where pickups, escalations and settlement questions are handled at all hours.
