How Indian IT recruitment agencies actually get paid
An Indian IT staffing desk sells to product companies, global capability centres, IT services firms and startups, and it competes for most roles against four or five other agencies working the same requirement. Business development happens on calls, on referrals from hiring managers who moved companies, and increasingly on messages that continue on WhatsApp.
The money, though, is not decided at submission. It is decided months later, when the candidate actually joins. A CRM for it recruitment agencies India that stops at the offer stage has stopped before the part of the process where Indian agencies lose most of their revenue.
The notice period is the whole risk
A candidate who accepts an offer may not join for sixty or ninety days. In that window the current employer counter-offers, another agency places them elsewhere, or the family objects to a relocation. An agency that contacts the candidate twice in three months finds out on the joining date. An agency with a scheduled sequence finds out in week three.
