What the state name in the search is worth
Very little, in terms of the software itself. There is no Rhode Island version of a customer relationship system, the code does not know where you are, and a vendor implying otherwise has built a page rather than a product feature.
The reason to think about the location at all is that the market you sell into shapes which capabilities earn their cost. Rhode Island is small, densely populated, and sits inside a corridor where a customer can reasonably consider suppliers in Providence, Fall River, New Bedford, and Boston without inconvenience. That competitive density is the fact that should drive your evaluation, and it points somewhere quite specific.
