The two pipelines and why they conflict
Recruitment is unusual among sales businesses in that supply is as hard as demand. You are simultaneously developing clients who have vacancies and developing candidates who might fill them, and the two activities compete for the same consultant hours. A system that supports one well and the other poorly will quietly push your team towards whichever half it makes easier, which is a strategic outcome decided by software configuration.
So before evaluating anything, draw both pipelines. Client development runs from a target company through a conversation with a hiring manager to a vacancy and a commercial agreement. Candidate supply runs from sourcing through qualification to availability and placement, then loops back to redeployment. The two meet at the vacancy, and how a system handles that meeting point tells you most of what you need to know about it.
This guide ranks nothing. Recruitment models differ too much for a league table to be honest, and what generalises is the method rather than the verdict.
