Why payments belong on the deal record
In Nigerian property, e-commerce, training and services, a small payment is often the first honest sign that a buyer is serious. An inspection fee, a commitment deposit, a first instalment or an order payment says more about intent than ten messages of "please send details". Many businesses already collect these through Paystack. The gap is what happens next.
Paystack shows that money arrived. It does not show who the buyer is in your sales process, what they were promised, who owns the follow-up or what should happen after the payment. So the team ends up asking questions in a chat group: did the buyer in Lekki pay? Which of these orders are confirmed? Who is calling the people who got a link and went quiet?
The fix is simple. Record the payment on the same record as the conversation. This guide describes a workflow for doing that in HelloGrowthCRM, where payment activity is logged against the lead or deal, so your team can see who has committed money and act on it.
