The job: acting before the membership ends
How it usually happens
A member joins, attends enthusiastically for six weeks, tapers off, and stops. Three months later their plan expires. Somebody at the desk notices, sends a message offering a renewal discount, and receives no reply. The club records a non-renewal and attributes it to price.
Almost none of that is a renewal problem. The decision was made during the weeks of silence, and the only useful moment was somewhere inside them. A renewal tracker exists to make those weeks visible, so that the work happens when the member is still deciding rather than after they have.
