Why hygiene decides whether the CRM survives
A CRM stops being used for one reason above all others: somebody looked at a report, knew it was wrong, and said so out loud. After that the system becomes a data entry chore that produces numbers nobody acts on, and the team drifts back to notebooks and personal phones.
Data hygiene is therefore not an administrative topic. It is what keeps the tool credible, and credibility is what keeps it in use. The good news is that the work required is small and boring rather than large and technical.
