A large share of Florida buyers do not live in Florida
Florida stores routinely sell to people in other states. The reasons are structural rather than accidental: deep used inventory, heavy auction supply, no shortage of low-rust vehicles, and a national buyer base that already searches listings across state lines. It means a meaningful part of the retail process happens with a customer who will never walk the lot before committing.
That kind of deal is won on process, not on charm. The buyer wants to know what the out-the-door position is, how their home state will title and register the vehicle, who is moving it and when, and which documents they need to sign and return. If those answers live in one salesperson's inbox, the store fails the moment that person takes a day off.
Delivery logistics belong on the deal record
Carrier, pickup window, condition report, delivery confirmation and whether the customer is flying in instead are not administrative afterthoughts. To a buyer who has already paid, they are the entire experience. Putting them on the deal turns a nervous customer into an informed one and removes most of the calls that otherwise consume a manager afternoon.
