Where gym enquiries in Bengaluru actually come from
A map search, a reel, and a friend who already trains here
Almost nobody walks past a gym in this city and wanders in. They search on maps for something within a few kilometres, they look at photographs and reviews, they watch a reel a trainer posted, and then they send a message. Referral still matters, but it arrives as a name dropped in a WhatsApp message rather than as a walk-in. That means the first contact is usually text, it is usually out of hours, and it is usually simultaneous with two or three other studios.
Neighbourhood by neighbourhood, not city by city
The enquiry mix changes sharply across Bengaluru. A studio in Indiranagar, Koramangala or HSR Layout sees a young, high-churn crowd that compares on class formats and trainer reputation and switches easily. Whitefield, Marathahalli and Electronic City see people whose gym choice is tied to their office and their commute, which makes corporate tie-ups worth real effort. Jayanagar, Rajajinagar and Malleshwaram bring more family memberships, longer plans and more questions about timings for women-only hours. One follow-up script does not fit all three.
