How manufacturing sells from Singapore
A small domestic market and a regional customer base
Most Singapore manufacturers sell to multinational customers whose buying office may be here while the receiving plant is in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand or Vietnam. The relationship therefore spans several entities and time zones, and the CRM has to reflect that rather than flatten it into one company record.
Qualification comes before revenue
Before a first purchase order there is usually an NDA, a drawing review, a quotation, a sample or first article, and a supplier audit. Each of those steps is a gate, and a supplier who cannot show a documented trail at the audit stage loses ground that price cannot recover.
Silence is a schedule, not a rejection
Programmes slip. A buyer who stops replying for six months is often waiting on their own customer, not choosing a competitor. The suppliers who win those programmes are the ones still in contact when the project restarts.
