Tier mapping: write down what you need, then check your quote
This is the most useful hour you will spend. List the capabilities the desk uses weekly, calling, sequences, WhatsApp messaging, AI scoring, reporting depth, custom fields, and then check on your own quote and region which of them are included in the plan you would actually buy. Vendor packaging changes, and what a colleague had two years ago may not apply to you. The point of the exercise is not to catch anyone out; it is to compare total shape rather than headline features.
One sales product against a suite you may grow into
A suite is a real advantage for a company that wants marketing, support and sales sharing one customer record. It is an overhead for a company that only wants the sales part, because every module has settings, permissions and an owner. Compare on one honest test. Over the next two years, will you actually deploy the other pieces? If yes, a suite is worth its administration. If no, a single sales product that a manager configures in an afternoon is usually the better trade.
The Indian layer: GST, DLT, WhatsApp and the language of the desk
Compare where the GST invoice is produced, since a CRM that stops at the quotation leaves your team retyping numbers into accounting software. Compare whether WhatsApp is a native channel or a connector, who holds the message history, and how templates are managed. If you send transactional SMS, compare how registered sender templates are handled. And compare whether regional-language templates are a maintained library or a folder of pasted text on somebody laptop.
