SIP trunk lets you bring your own carrier (BYOC) to HelloGrowthCRM — useful with favourable carrier rates (Tata, Airtel, Vodafone, BSNL).

How to use this guide

Read the intro to confirm this is the right workflow, complete the steps in order, then review the common issues and related articles if your setup behaves differently from the standard path.

What you'll need

  • Enterprise tier
  • SIP trunk provider
  • SIP credentials
  • Outbound to provider on UDP/TCP 5060/5061
  • Static IP for allowlisting
  • Network/IT support
  1. 1

    Provision SIP credentials

Sign up with carrier. Get SIP URI, username, password, registrar.

  2. 2

Open Settings → Integrations → SIP Trunk

    Enterprise tier only.

  3. 3

    Enter SIP credentials

Paste URI, username, password, registrar. TLS port 5061 strongly recommended.

  4. 4

    Configure transport and codecs

    Transport UDP/TCP/TLS. Codecs G.711 or G.729. DTMF RFC 2833.

  5. 5

    Set IP allowlist with carrier

Send our IPs from /docs/sip-ips to carrier for allowlist.

  6. 6

    Configure DID numbers

Assign Direct Inward Dialing numbers to reps or queues.

  7. 7

    Test outbound call

Click Place test call. SIP trace shows INVITE → 100 → 180 → 200 OK.

  8. 8

    Test inbound

Have someone call DID. Should ring HelloGrowthCRM dialer with screen-pop.

  9. 9

    Configure failover

Secondary trunk or fall back to Twilio. Auto-failover on 5+ failures.

  10. 10

    Enable call recording

Recording requires media flow through HelloGrowthCRM (proxy mode). Adds ~50ms latency.
