Lead qualification software

Most CRM buying questions come down to the same three things: what gets captured, who owns the next step, and what a manager can see without asking. A tool only helps if it answers all three for the way your team already sells — the software rarely fixes a process that was never defined.

Before comparing products, write down the stages a deal actually moves through, the fields a rep must fill to advance one, and the report you would check on a Monday morning. Teams that bring those three artefacts to an evaluation pick faster and abandon less, because they are testing against their own workflow rather than a feature list.

Agree the pipeline stages and the exit criteria for each one before anything is configured. A stage nobody can define is a stage reps will skip, and a pipeline with skipped stages forecasts badly no matter which CRM sits underneath it.

Then decide what has to be true for a record to be trusted: which fields are mandatory, who owns a lead the moment it lands, and how long it may sit untouched. Import history only after those rules exist — migrating a messy database into a new system reproduces the mess with a better interface.
