Most retail leads are lost before anyone knows they existed
A customer walks into a furniture showroom, spends half an hour with an associate, photographs a sofa, says they will discuss it at home and leaves. In most shops that is the end of the story. No name, no number, no note of which sofa, and no follow-up. The store then spends money on advertising to attract another stranger with exactly the same intent.
Retail nurture starts one step earlier than most people expect. It is not a messaging problem, it is a capture problem. Everything downstream depends on somebody at the counter writing down four things in twenty seconds: who they were, what they looked at, what stopped them, and who served them.
