Why Emirates teams look for an alternative
In the UAE the CRM administrator problem has a particular shape. Teams turn over more often than in most markets, and the person who set up a configurable system two years ago may now be in another country entirely. What they leave behind is a working but opaque configuration: custom modules, workflows and fields whose purpose nobody remembers. The result is a system the team is afraid to change, which is the same thing as a system that stops matching the business.
Alongside that sit the Gulf mechanics that a general-purpose CRM rarely handles out of the box. Tax invoices need a TRN and the customer TRN field. A group often holds a free-zone licence and a mainland company with separate numbering. Quotes go out in dirhams and come back priced in riyals. And roughly half the conversation happens in Arabic on WhatsApp. Any one of those is a workaround; all four together become a parallel spreadsheet.
