How pest control is actually sold in India
Three sales that share one phone number
An Indian pest control company is usually running three businesses at once. The first is residential and immediate: a WhatsApp message about cockroaches or bed bugs, quoted in minutes, serviced within a day or two, paid on completion. The second is the annual contract with a housing society, an office, a hotel or a food unit, which takes weeks to win and is decided by a committee or a purchase department. The third is termite work, which is technically distinct and carries a guarantee that outlives the treatment by years.
Running all three through one undifferentiated queue is the most common operational mistake in this trade. The residential enquiry is lost if it is not answered within the hour. The society proposal is damaged by daily chasing. The termite warranty is not a sale at all after the first day, it is an obligation with a calendar.
The decision you cannot attend
Society and institutional contracts are awarded in a managing committee or purchase meeting. The agency that wins is usually the one whose proposal was in front of the secretary before the meeting, whose rate could be explained service by service, and who called the following day. None of this requires persuasion. It requires knowing the meeting date, which is a fact anyone will share if asked.
