What calendar sync solves
Most sales teams keep time in one place and customers in another. The diary knows there is a meeting at eleven; the CRM knows there is a deal worth two lakh rupees. Neither knows they are the same thing. So the pipeline review becomes an oral exam, reminders never reach the customer, and the site visit history exists only in whoever attended.
Calendar sync joins them. A meeting booked from a deal appears in the work calendar with the customer's details; a customer meeting in the calendar can be tied back to the record. From there the useful behaviour follows on its own: reminders go out, the deal shows when the account was last seen, and the outcome is captured against the customer instead of in someone's notebook.
