HelloGrowthCRM drip campaign builder showing multi-step sequence with email, WhatsApp and call steps, delays and exit-on-reply rules

Quick answer

Is HelloGrowthCRM right for Drip Campaigns?

Yes. HelloGrowthCRM gives Drip Campaigns a single system to capture every lead, automate follow-up across phone, WhatsApp, and email, prioritise leads with AI scoring, and forecast revenue — with calling and messaging built in instead of sold as add-ons. It's built for the problems these teams actually hit — like leads that are not ready to buy this month are followed up twice and then forgotten entirely — rather than generic sales busywork.
  • Multi-step sequences with the delay you choose between steps, so a nurture runs over days or weeks without anyone scheduling a single reminder
  • Mixed channels in one sequence: an email on day one, a WhatsApp message on day four, an SMS before an event, and a call task where a human is needed
  • Entry triggers from real events, including a form submission, a stage change, a lost deal reason, an event registration or a manual add by the rep

01

What a drip campaign does

A drip campaign takes a contact through a planned series of touches over time. You build the steps once, decide the gaps between them, and the CRM handles delivery, personalisation and exits. It is designed for the enquiry that says "send me details, I will decide after Diwali" and would otherwise be followed up twice and abandoned.

Not the same as a one-off bulk send

A bulk email goes to a segment on a date you choose. A drip runs relative to each contact's own start point, so someone enquiring today receives step one today and step four next week, while a contact who enquired a month ago is already at step six. Both have their place; the drip is what keeps a long cycle warm without anyone scheduling anything.

02

How it works, step by step

1. Pick the trigger

Choose what starts the sequence: a web form submission, a stage change, a lost deal with a specific reason, or a manual add by the rep after a conversation.

2. Lay out the steps

Add each message with its channel and its delay. Most effective sequences mix an email that carries detail, a short WhatsApp message that gets read, and a call task at the point where a human should take over.

3. Write for the stage, not the product

Early steps answer questions the contact has now. Later steps introduce proof and commercial detail. Merge fields pull the actual product enquired about and the name of the rep who owns the contact.

4. Set the exits

Exit on reply is essential. Exit on stage change prevents a nurture message arriving after a deal is signed. Add a re-entry rule so a returning enquiry does not restart a sequence they already completed.

5. Read the step report and fix one thing

After a few weeks you can see where contacts reply and where they leave. Rewrite the weakest step, move a call task earlier, or shorten a delay. Sequences improve by small corrections, not by redesign.

03

Who it is for

Any team whose enquiries arrive well before the decision does. Education consultants working an admission cycle, property teams nurturing site-visit enquiries, clinics following up consultations, equipment dealers with annual budget cycles, and B2B teams where three months between first enquiry and purchase order is normal.

04

What it replaces

A calendar reminder to "check in with old leads" that gets moved every week. A junior executive copying the same WhatsApp message to forty people by hand. A folder of enquiries from last quarter that nobody has looked at. And the belief that a lead who did not buy immediately was never serious.

Setup notes

Write the messages before touching the builder; the sequence structure takes minutes and the copy takes a day. Keep the first sequence to five or six steps. Put a call task in it, because a sequence of messages alone rarely closes anything. Configure exits before you enrol a single contact. Check what your WhatsApp templates need approved in advance, and confirm the opt-out wording on every channel before the first send goes out.

Challenges we solve

The problems holding this industry back — and the fix

Every team in this space loses revenue to the same recurring gaps. Here is what they cost you and how HelloGrowthCRM closes each one.

  • Leads that are not ready to buy this month are followed up twice and then forgotten entirely.

A nurture sequence keeps contact over weeks with useful messages, and returns the contact to the rep's call list when they engage.Long-cycle nurture

  • A customer replies to say they are interested and still receives the next three automated messages, which makes the business look careless.

Replying on any channel exits the contact from the sequence immediately, and a stage change does the same, so automation stops when a human starts.Exit on reply

  • Email alone gets ignored, but nobody has the time to run a manual WhatsApp follow-up for every enquiry.

One sequence can send email, WhatsApp and SMS at different steps, so the channel your customers actually read is included without extra work.Multi-channel steps

  • Nobody knows whether nurture works, so it gets switched off the first time someone questions the effort.

Per-step reporting shows replies, drop-off and deals created at each step, so you improve the weak step instead of abandoning the sequence.Step-level reporting

What you get

Why teams choose HelloGrowthCRM

AI-powered CRM with the features you need to close more deals.

  • Automatic exit on reply, so a contact who answers on any channel stops receiving scheduled messages instead of being chased by a machine
  • Exit on stage change too, which prevents the awkward case of a nurture message arriving after the customer has already signed
  • Branching on engagement, so contacts who opened and clicked follow a different path from those who have not reacted at all
  • Personalisation from CRM fields, so each message references the actual product enquired about and comes from the rep who owns the contact
  • Call tasks inside the sequence, placed at the step where a conversation matters more than another message, worked with the built-in dialer
  • Per-step reporting showing where contacts reply, where they drop and which step produces deals, so a weak step can be rewritten rather than guessed at
  • Re-entry rules that stop a contact receiving the same sequence twice when they enquire again a month later
  • Quiet hours and working-day sending, so a scheduled message does not arrive on a Sunday night
  • Unsubscribe and opt-out handling applied across every sequence, with suppression carried over to future campaigns automatically
