What small Indian businesses actually buy a CRM for
The category of simple SMB CRM exists for a specific customer: a business of five to forty people, often in services, trading, manufacturing or education, where enquiries arrive by phone and WhatsApp, quotations decide most deals, and the owner is still involved in every significant customer. Maple CRM positions itself in that space, and teams evaluating it usually want enquiry tracking and quotations without enterprise weight.
The requirement is real and often badly served. Global CRMs are built for email-led selling with structured processes and dedicated administrators. An Indian SMB needs something else: fast capture of a call that came in during lunch, a quotation out the same evening, a WhatsApp follow-up three days later, and a way for the owner to see all of it without asking.
