What every payment reminder must contain
A reminder has one job: to let the customer pay in the next thirty seconds without having to ask you anything. That needs five facts.
- Who is writing. Your name and business. Customers deal with many suppliers.
- What for. The invoice or bill number.
- How much. The exact amount, or the balance if part has been paid.
- When. The due date, and in later messages how many days have passed.
- How to pay. A UPI ID, bank details or a payment link.
Add one courtesy line: if you have already paid, please ignore this message. It costs nothing and prevents the most common irritation, which is being chased for something paid yesterday.
