Where a gym actually loses money
Someone walks in on a Monday evening, asks about timings and prices, gives a phone number and leaves. It goes into a register. Nobody calls until Wednesday, and by then they have joined the studio near their office. The register fills up all month with numbers nobody rang.
The second loss is quieter and larger. A member stops coming in the third week of a six-month membership. Nothing notices. Six weeks later they ask to cancel, and the conversation is already over. The renewal date passes and is discovered afterwards.
