The quotation happens at a desk and disappears
A prospect walks in, is shown the floor, sits down with a consultant and is talked through the plans. A number is arrived at. A joining fee is waived. Something is said about freezing the membership during travel. Then the prospect leaves to think about it, and the entire commercial conversation exists only in two memories, one of which belongs to somebody who will speak to nine other prospects that week.
This is why fitness businesses have inconsistent pricing without ever deciding to. The rate card is stable; what varies is what was said at the desk, and nothing captures it. A quotation record does not make the conversation less friendly. It makes the next conversation possible.
