The channels are not optional here
A visual pipeline is only useful if the conversations that move deals are inside it. In India those conversations are WhatsApp messages and phone calls, not email threads. When both arrive through third-party apps, messages land late, threads split across tools, and reporting cannot count a WhatsApp conversation as sales activity, which is exactly the number a manager wants.
Quoting belongs on the deal, in rupees, with GST
Indian deals produce a GST document, and if quoting happens in a separate system then the figure agreed on a call and the figure on the tax invoice get reconciled by hand every month. Raising the quote and the invoice from the deal, with GSTIN, HSN or SAC codes and place of supply attached, keeps one number moving from conversation to filing.
DLT, language and IST support
SMS in India needs DLT-registered sender IDs and approved templates, so an automation step that ignores this fails at the operator rather than in your reports. Templates in Hindi and regional languages stop reps translating by hand in Jaipur and Trichy. And support has to be awake during a Monday-to-Saturday selling week whose peak is late afternoon.
