When the price is quoted, the checklist is your leverage
Buying a sales execution platform usually starts backwards. You cannot plan a budget until a quote arrives, and the quote arrives only after discovery calls that shape what the vendor thinks you need. The way out is to define the cost lines yourself, in advance, and ask every vendor to price the same list.
A bundle you cannot decompose cannot be compared
If a quote arrives as one figure covering licences, modules, implementation and support, you have no way of knowing which part is expensive. Ask for the same quote itemised, then ask what the total becomes if one module is removed. Both answers tell you how the bundle was built.
