Suite economics: cheap per app, expensive per stack
A suite is attractive because each app looks inexpensive on its own. The difficulty is that almost nobody buys one app. A working deployment tends to become CRM plus campaigns plus forms plus desk plus analytics, with a couple of marketplace extensions filling the gaps and telephony credits underneath. Every line is defensible. The sum is rarely the number that was approved.
Price the stack you will actually run
Write down the apps you will switch on in the first twelve months before you look at any rate card. That list, not the CRM app in isolation, is your licence line. Then ask which of those apps could wait until year two, and price that version too. You now have a floor and a ceiling instead of a guess.
