Admissions is a season, and seasons expose the gaps
For ten months of the year an institute can run its enquiries on a spreadsheet and a helpline register without anyone noticing the cracks. Then the intake window opens, volume multiplies, temporary counsellors join, and the same system produces missed calls, duplicated families and a marketing report nobody trusts. Lead capture in education is not really a software question, it is a question of whether the institute can hold its shape under seasonal load. Everything that follows — response time, counselling quality, conversion — depends on whether the enquiry was recorded properly in the first hour.
The parent calls, the student decides
An admission enquiry is almost always two people. A parent rings the helpline, asks about fees and placement and hostel, and gives their own number. The student, who will actually make the choice, is never captured. Weeks later the counsellor is trying to influence a decision while only able to reach the person who is not making it. Capturing both contacts on one enquiry, with the relationship marked, changes the entire quality of the follow-up conversation.
