Where hospitality leads actually arrive, and where they leak
A property with banquet business receives enquiries through at least six doors: the sales line, the front desk during check-in rush, WhatsApp messages at odd hours, the website form, wedding fairs and exhibitions, and referrals from planners, decorators and past hosts. Corporate room-block RFPs arrive by email on top of all that.
Each door leaks differently. The phone enquiry taken between two check-ins becomes a notepad line that never becomes a callback. Fair leads survive as a stack of visiting cards until the stack goes stale. WhatsApp enquiries live in whichever staff phone answered first. The website form goes to an inbox that the banquet manager checks on Mondays. None of these are follow-up failures yet; they are capture failures, and capture failures are cheaper to fix.
