One number, and the complaints always win
Every regional internet provider and cable operator runs a WhatsApp number that does two jobs badly. It takes new connection enquiries, which are commercial and time sensitive because the prospect is asking three providers at once. And it takes service complaints, which are loud, urgent and continuous. When the link in a sector goes down, forty messages arrive in ten minutes, and the connection enquiry that came in at nine fifteen is answered the next afternoon, by which point someone else has already booked the installation.
The second silent loss is renewal. A subscriber who stops paying rarely announces it, and by the time anyone calls, another provider has laid the cable.
