WhatsApp Broadcast for Pharma Distributors: Get the Scheme to Every Counter Before the Window Shuts

A scheme announcement has a shelf life. The company releases a bonus slab on a fast-moving line with a window that closes at month end, and the news travels through whichever counters your sales officers happen to reach that week. The shops at the far end of the beat hear about it on day nine, if at all. WhatsApp broadcast sends the same slab, the same pack and the same last date to every counter on your list in one send, and tells you who opened it.

Why a scheme reaches half the counters it was meant for

Scheme communication in distribution is still a relay race. The company mailer lands with the owner, gets forwarded into two or three WhatsApp groups, and reaches the rest of the counters through six sales officers who each explain the slab slightly differently. The desk then spends two days answering the same question about what the bonus quantity actually is.

The cost shows up at closing. Counters that never got the message buy the same molecule from whichever distributor's officer reached them first, and the quantity you loaded against the slab sits in the godown ageing towards a return. Afterwards nobody can say which shops were told, because the telling happened in personal chats that cannot be searched.

One send, filtered by beat and by division

Broadcast runs off the counter list already in the CRM, so the audience is a filter and not a fresh spreadsheet: every chemist in one town, every account that has billed that division in the last quarter, every shop that has not ordered since the previous scheme. Meta-approved templates carry the slab, the pack and the closing date in identical words for everyone, personalised with the shop name and the officer who covers it. Delivered, read and replied are recorded against each counter, and a reply opens as a conversation in the shared inbox rather than a notification on one person's phone.
