A designer day has no desk in it
The morning starts on a handover floor in a tower with no lift running. By noon a client sits in a half furnished flat asking whether the balcony can be enclosed. By four there is a marble yard, and by six someone wants the revised kitchen quotation tonight. The studio computer goes untouched.
What only the flat can give you
Carpet area, ceiling height, the beam that kills the cove light, the shaft, the points already cast in, and the corner the client hates. None of it is recoverable later. A photograph of an awkward wall settles a designer and draftsman argument faster than any description.
The sentence about money and the people who decide
Clients say the budget out loud roughly once, casually, standing in the flat. Write it in their words with the scope and the month they expect to move in. Then note who signs, who chooses finishes, which parent has views on the pooja unit, and which builder representative controls whether work can start at all.
