The part of ecommerce that still runs on conversations
The storefront handles the easy majority: a customer clicks, pays and receives. But every D2C brand has a second business hiding in its inbox, the bulk enquiry, the corporate gifting request, the reseller question, the abandoned cart worth more than a normal day's orders. These close through conversations, not checkouts, and in most brands they are handled by whoever sees the message first, in between support tickets, hours after the buying moment passed.
This conversational layer is small in volume and large in value, which makes it exactly the place where ranked human follow-up pays. Scoring does not touch your funnel automation; it decides which conversations your people join.
